Bus routes will run on Freshmen Orientation Day, Monday - August 20
In an effort to reduce bus transportation costs the Board of Control adopted the policy that the Luther High School buses follow the most direct and convenient routes with designated pick-up points. It is, therefore, often necessary for students to come a short distance to meet the bus. Any requests for a bus to deviate from the route may be made to the Board of Control.
Morning Late Start and School Closings
If you are unsure whether or not your bus will show up as a result of weather and due to a late start or school cancellations, check the local news station. The motivation for calling off school is for the safety and protection of our students. However, we cannot know the exact conditions in every part of the area from which our students come. If your child normally drives to school, please remember that riding the school-provided bus transportation is also an option. If you feel that the conditions are unsafe, please keep your child at home. If there is no school, the announcement will be given to the radio and TV stations as soon as possible.
