Our 2016 season ended with quite a run in the qualifying rounds at our tournament in Peoria, Illinois. We finished the 10 qualifying matches with a second overall ranking(out of 40+ teams) and advanced to the playoff rounds. We won our quarter-final match, but ended up with a loss in the semi-finals.

Congratulations to the FIRST 4021 Robotics team. igKnightion represented Luther High School this past weekend at the Wisconsin Robotics Regional in Milwaukee. We finished 42 of 57 teams after 10 matches over 2 days. We always played with two other teams that make an alliance. All alliances are randomly selected, and our robot was generally equal to or the best of each alliance partner. Our record was 3 and 7.

Teleoperated points = 32nd rank
Autonomous points = 7th rank
Climb points = 26th rank

All in all I’m very proud of our team and regardless of their record, just the opportunity to build, design, market and compete has been a fantastic experience for students and mentors alike.

Thanks to all our fans who watched and cheered for us – your support was greatly appreciated. This year’s team still has a few meetings left – please watch your email. I’ll have a signup after Easter for those interested in joining the team. We will also likely be exploring a JV squad for Freshmen & Sophomores.
