Luther High School is a private, nationally accredited high school that serves students and families on our beautiful campus in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Together with our partner congregations and schools in the greater LaCrosse area, we’re celebrating nearly 70 years of education with Christ at the Center.

Today’s teenagers have so many choices, and all those choices can be overwhelming. At Luther High School, we’ve created a distinctive high school education that overcomes overwhelm, anchored with three key principles:

Christ at the Center

At Luther High School, Jesus is the foundation of everything we do. He is at the center of our academics, athletics, arts, and daily interactions, so students see how God’s love and truth connect to every part of their lives. Guided by God’s Word as our authority, we teach, lead, and serve with Christ at the center, equipping teenagers who are confident in their identity, grounded in their faith, and ready to serve others with compassion and purpose.

An Us Mindset

Because Christ calls us to love one another, our culture emphasizes us over me. Teachers invest in students personally, peers encourage and support each other, and families share in the journey. Students are encouraged to be part of our “us culture” – not just by belonging, but by contributing. Whether in the classroom, on the field, in the shop, on the stage, or in service, students both discover their God-given talents and learn to celebrate the gifts of others.

Ready for What’s Next

High academic standards and hands-on experiences prepare students for life beyond our walls. Preparation extends beyond test scores and skill sets; it’s about developing resilience, critical thinking, and integrity. Our teachers challenge students to ask important questions and take ownership of their learning. Whether graduates pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or explore other callings, they leave confident that they are ready for whatever comes next.
