Original Compositions by Sabre Band Members

For the 2001-2004 school years, our beginning band composed a group song for our fall and spring concerts. Our fall song was a short eight measure piece that only used our first five notes and two simple rhythms. In the spring we took that piece and wrote a series of variations on it. Starting in 2005, we also took the opportunity to do some individual arranging of common favorites. Each student started with the original piece and wrote his or her own variation on that theme. The final piece we played for the concert contained several of these student arrangements. Here are our original works...
